- The temple lies near the Kakatiya Rudreshwara (Ramappa) Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Gollala Gudi is a Trikutalaya—a temple plan with three sanctums—and includes a central mandapa.
- Its architecture includes a high decorated plinth, carved hamsas, jali work and images of deities such as Vishnu, Lakshmi, Ganesha and Mahishasuramardini.
- The site reflects the architectural tradition of the Kakatiya period.
