World Ozone Day 2026: Theme Global Action For Cooler Planet

The International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, popularly known as World Ozone Day, is observed globally on September 16, 2026.

The 2026 theme is ‘Global Action for a Cooler Planet’.
The year marks the 10th anniversary of the Kigali Amendment, adopted in 2016.
The Kigali Amendment focuses on phasing down hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), powerful greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming.
