ISRO To Set Up Advanced Radar Research Centre In Assam

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma laid the foundation stone for ISRO’s Advanced Radar Research Centre at Chandrapur, near Guwahati.

The centre will be developed under Project NETRA (Network for space object Tracking and Analysis).
It will monitor orbital debris and other space objects to strengthen India’s Space Situational Awareness.
The system will help protect Indian satellites and other space assets from potential collisions.
