Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced on September 9, 2026, that the state successfully achieved a zero per cent dropout rate at the primary level during the 2025-26 academic session.

Key Points

• Tripura reported a 0% primary-level dropout rate for the 2025–26 academic session.
• The state has implemented ULLAS–Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram since May 2022.
• Its literacy programme uses experiential market learning, financial literacy and health-and-hygiene activities to build practical literacy and numeracy.
