# India's First Eco-Educational Hub ‘Prakriti Gyan Dham’ Opens in Lucknow ### Why in News? **CSIR-NBRI** inaugurated '**Prakriti Gyan Dham**' at its Banthra campus in Lucknow as an eco-educational facility combining plant conservation, heritage and public learning. ### What will visitors learn there? - The hub uses trails and specialised gardens to explain biodiversity, rare plants and the cultural history associated with important trees. - Its collections include heritage plant material, State plants and a bamboo facility containing 43 species. - The idea is to make botanical research easier for students and the public to experience rather than keeping it confined to laboratories. ### Exam Connect - **CSIR-NBRI** → **National Botanical Research Institute**, Lucknow - **CSIR** → scientific research network under Ministry of Science & Technology
