India To Host 18th BRICS Summit At Bharat Mandapam 2026

India is set to host the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on September 12–13, 2026.

India will serve as BRICS Chair for 2026, which marks 20 years since the grouping was formalised.
The summit theme is ‘Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation, and Sustainability’.
Key focus areas include AI, Digital Public Infrastructure, fintech, green finance, energy transition and reform of global governance institutions.
BRICS expanded in 2024 with Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and UAE; Indonesia joined as a full member in 2025.

BRICS → formalised in 2006 → first summit at Yekaterinburg, Russia (2009) → South Africa joined in 2010
