The Indian Air Force successfully tested the **Khagantak-243**, an indigenously designed **long-range precision-guided glide bomb**.
### Key Details
- A **glide bomb** has wings/control surfaces that let it travel a long distance after release, allowing an aircraft to attack without flying directly over the target.
- The **300-kg-class** Khagantak-243 has a stand-off range of **more than 140 km** when released from high altitude.
- It was jointly developed by **JSR Dynamics** and **Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)**.
- The trial used a **Su-30MKI** fighter aircraft as the test platform.
