- JPNSV schools are run by the Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department and provide schooling along with hostel, meals, uniforms, books and stationery free of cost.
- The network serves students from economically and socially disadvantaged families, including SC, ST, OBC and poor General-category households.
- Schools are affiliated with either CBSE or the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, depending on the institution.
