Why is Parichha Dam significant?
The heritage tag is given to historic irrigation structures that have remained functionally important for more than a century.
Parichha Dam is built on the Betwa River and forms the headworks of the Betwa Canal System, irrigating areas of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
