CSIR-NBRI inaugurated 'Prakriti Gyan Dham' at its Banthra campus in Lucknow as an eco-educational facility combining plant conservation, heritage and public learning.
Key Details
The hub uses trails and specialised gardens to explain biodiversity, rare plants and the cultural history associated with important trees.
Its collections include heritage plant material, State plants and a bamboo facility containing 43 species.
The idea is to make botanical research easier for students and the public to experience rather than keeping it confined to laboratories.
