Why in News?
CSIR-NBRI inaugurated 'Prakriti Gyan Dham' at its Banthra campus in Lucknow as an eco-educational facility combining plant conservation, heritage and public learning.
What will visitors learn there?
- The hub uses trails and specialised gardens to explain biodiversity, rare plants and the cultural history associated with important trees.
- Its collections include heritage plant material, State plants and a bamboo facility containing 43 species.
- The idea is to make botanical research easier for students and the public to experience rather than keeping it confined to laboratories.
