What is Bharatiya Antariksha Station?
- It is India's planned orbital space station, intended to support long-duration human presence and scientific experiments in space.
- The project builds on the Gaganyaan human-spaceflight programme and is part of India's longer-term crewed-space ambitions.
- The announcement was made during National Space Day, observed on August 23 to mark the Chandrayaan-3 landing.
