BRICS Oceanic and Polar Science Working Group Meets in Goa

The 8th BRICS Working Group meeting on Oceanic and Polar Science and Technology began in Goa under India's 2026 BRICS Presidency.

The meeting brings BRICS countries together for collaborative research on oceans, polar regions and related science and technology.
It is hosted by the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), India's specialised institute for polar and Southern Ocean research.
The working group is part of the wider BRICS science, technology and innovation cooperation framework.
