Indian water-technology company WAE joined the United Nations Global Compact Network India, committing to align its operations with international sustainability principles.
What is the UN Global Compact?
- The UN Global Compact is a voluntary initiative that asks businesses to align their practices with principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
- Participating companies report progress rather than receiving a regulatory certification from the UN.
- WAE is linking its work mainly with water, infrastructure, responsible production, climate action and partnerships under the Sustainable Development Goals.
