The scheme applies to the 2025-26 academic session and provides petrol-powered scooters, not electric ones.
Scooters will be procured through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal.
The objective is to improve the Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) and mobility of female students in higher education.
