Why in News?
The Prime Minister announced 'Sapta Dhara', a seven-part reform roadmap covering manufacturing, agriculture, technology, infrastructure, defence, green growth and India’s cultural economy.
What are the seven broad areas?
- The framework seeks stronger manufacturing and export value chains, greater value addition in agriculture and food processing, and leadership in technologies such as AI, 6G and quantum computing.
- It also emphasises infrastructure, defence self-reliance, renewable energy and the blue economy.
- The seventh strand focuses on India’s cultural and creative strengths, including gaming, animation, Yoga and Ayurveda.
