Key Details
- Mahendragiri is the sixth Project 17A indigenous stealth frigate to enter service.
- It was built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) and incorporates a high share of indigenous systems and equipment.
- Project 17A frigates are designed with improved stealth, survivability and combat capability compared with the earlier Shivalik-class frigates.
