Key Points
Delhi ranked first in the India Electric Mobility Index 2025 with a score of 84, followed by Maharashtra (78) and Karnataka (73).
Karnataka topped charging-infrastructure readiness with a score of 97.
Madhya Pradesh recorded the biggest improvement, rising from 23rd to 7th place.
Uttar Pradesh scored 51 out of 100, placing it in the "Frontrunner" category among the 17 large states.
The index evaluates transport electrification, charging infrastructure, and EV research and innovation.
