Ahmedabad Starts Hub-and-Spoke International Flight Operations

Ahmedabad became the third Indian city to start hub-and-spoke international flight operations, after Amritsar and Varanasi.

In a hub-and-spoke system, passengers from an origin airport connect through a central hub to multiple onward destinations instead of requiring separate direct flights.
The system allows processes such as baggage transfer and some passenger formalities to be streamlined across connecting journeys.
Ahmedabad will offer connectivity via Delhi to 15 international destinations.
The service operates from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
